Escapade Silverstone

SiOO:X up to speed at Silverstone

The sound of engines in the morning, the experience of a Formula 1-weekend with thousands of visitors. This is exactly what the future residents want: Escapade Silverstone is designed to provide motorsport enthusiasts with the most exclusive experience!

Silverstone is one of the most iconic circuits and globally recognized home of motorsports. Right next to the track, with a bedroom-view, the luxury development Escapade Silverstone takes shape. It consists of 60 private residences overlooking the racetrack and a clubhouse for short-term rental. The London-based Twelve Architects is responsible for the architecture of this ambitious project, which will undoubtedly show direction for upcoming sports and leisure concepts as well.

Timber takes the pole position

It is also a project where timber takes the pole position. Inspired by Nordic nature, all the residences will be cladded in wood, supplied by Russwood. The combination of “Lunawood” ThermoWood and SiOO:X Mid Grey coating creates exterior facades that are natural yet elegant, with visible wood figuring and round and splay knots. Made from natural and non-toxic ingredients, SiOO:X repels moisture, forming a natural protective barrier to timber cladding.

Silverstone Circuit aims to become the most sustainable circuit of the Formula 1. Sustainable development has therefor been at the heart of the project since the very first steps. Several features of the project showcase modern, sustainable choices like smart heat-pumps, electric car-chargers and a sophisticated plan of landscaping and forestation.

The project is still in early build stages, expected to be open for guests from late 2023. We are excited to see the final result and for its contribution to the movement of sustainable timber architecture.
