Castle Hill
A clean-cut rural oasis
There are some residential buildings which fulfil their practical purpose whilst radiating striking design, and Castle Hill is one of them. A family home in rural Aberdeenshire, Castle Hill specifies a clear grade cladding board coated with our Light-Grey coating, and the result is a refined and modern home which feels equally native to its natural surroundings.

This project by Gerry Robb Architects uses a mixed-width cladding arrangement of SILA Select® Siberian Larch, a clear grade timber with a beautiful ‘flame’ figure which creates a natural yet modern aesthetic. The SiOO:X Light-Grey coating was utilised to produce a consistently weathered appearance due to the variety of aspects the project faces, and due to the slightly harsher rural conditions.
