SiOO:X results in a beautifully even façade, with a consistently weathered appearance. It is available as clear coating or in pigmented Light-Grey and Mid-Grey options.

A rapid curing process begins upon application; any initial patchiness will fade out over a period of 10-16 weeks, however, Light-Grey and Mid-Grey will give more immediate colour to the timber. After 2-3 years, the timber is fully cured and a final colour is reached. The result is a consistent weathered tone, achieved years faster than with natural weathering.

The treatment instructions are the same as for the standard SiOO:X product

The products are called SiOO:X  Wood Protector Light-Grey and SiOO:X  Wood Protector Mid-Grey . The SIOO:X Surface Protector is also pigmented and is applied as Step 2.

Some customers wish to see the SiOO:X: grey colour from the point of application and the pigmented products meet this need. All of the attributes and performance of the standard impregnation system are delivered and the same curing process operates giving long life protection.

The pigmented products are supplied by special order from our approved distributors for factory application onto sawn or Microtex timber.
